Crossing the threshold…

10 days to go. It’s hard to believe that seeds that were planted in discussions that began in the Fall of 2017 are 10 days away from fruition. My sabbatical begins on May 15, and this past Sunday, the church offered their blessings and prayers as they removed my stole and laid it on the communion table. Still a few things to wrap up, one more worship service and then I have the privilege of focusing on rest and renewal.

These good people will be fine…more than fine. They are gifted and they care for each other. They will discover things in themselves and about themselves they might never have known if I didn’t take this time away. And still, my prayers will be with them everyday. As people of the table we know that we are held together by the spirit that will keep us close even while we are apart from one another.

Sending litany for sabbatical and welcoming our sabbatical pastor.
